I Hate Airports

28 January 2010

Did I ever mention that I hate airports?  You get there early because you don’t want to stress about the delay getting through all the various search-and-irradiate processes, and then you sit and sit while the airline decides whether in fact it’s going to let you fly at all. My 11:00 flight to Izmir got canceled so I’m sitting at the gate waiting for the next one at 13:00. I sure am glad I gave myself a couple hours’ leeway at the other end! The weather today is gray and foggy; if I liked Cleveland enough, it would make me homesick. As it is, at least I know that I’m not worse off than I would be at home.
